Romantic room with a mini bar, central heating, and an electronic key card. Attentive service at the outdoor bar with cool drinks. - Fantastic location in Kusnacht, just a short walk to the ferry stop and near the lake.

Friendly and efficient staff, very good food, cleanliness, design, comfortable room, location, "sense of tradition"
The windows of the room overlooked Seestrasse with its traffic noise. Some noise also came from the parking lot.

Would book again, thoroughly enjoyed this place, thanks a lot. Everything is excellent here, had a great stay for a recent wedding at the Sonne Romantik. It has stunning location to see Kusnacht. The hotel provides delightful and comprehensive breakfast with excellent red wine, healthy options and delicious smoothies.

Location was good ... I have stayed there 4 times before
1- After 36hours of flying from New Zealand ... and coming 3 hours before check in time and being told room wold not be ready until 2 pm which was guaranteed check in time (which was understood) ... we waited with baby after 2 all the way till 3pm when we went into the room with the maid still working, and drinking glasses she 'cleaned' with the washcloth from the sink. The male 'desk attendant' failed to have the housekeeping even consider doing our room for the proper check in time and was arrogant and could be found for 1-2 hours looking only at his computer screen (not even typing) in the back of the front desk area. Also a large metal sculpture protruded 20cm from the wall right next to the elevator and as my wife got out of the elevator while another guest rushed into the elevator she was forces aside by the other guest and cut her scalp open and was bleeding from the sculpture. The hotel staff could see from the desk (next to elevator) and did not even offer a bandage. The shower head was broken. The housekeeping put one tiny soap in the room and did not change it for 3 days. And the hotel was 500usd per night! The manager offered me a 100chf dinner coupon to make up for the trouble (in the future).

Excellent location on the shore of Lake Zurich within walking distance of the train station and local restaurants. Comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast buffet. The casual restaurant which we ate in twice was very good and reasonably priced for Zurich. The workout room, steam bath and sauna were small but lovely and much a appreciated ammenity after a long day ice skating or sledding with our grandson!
Noise from a party on our last night than went into the wee hours. The only such disturbance over our stay. Also the smoking that was allowed in the bar - for a nationality that seems health conscience, the indoor smoking rules are puzzling.

For people with euro's or dollars all swiss hotels and restaurants are too expensive. It has of cours nothing to do with the hotels themselves and only with the exchange rate, but it gives un uncomfortable feeling to pay double the price for equal food or room than in another country. On the other hand all the hotels we visited in Switserland are well managed, everything is clean and friendly, and the location is mostly fantastic. Hotel Sonne has all of that.

As we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly staff at the reception who showed us around. We very much liked the spa where we were alone. We also liked the breakfast in a room with a view of the lake
